The Local Area around the Isle of Mull

There is some of the best scenery to be found anywhere in Europe. Walks, cycle tracks, sea fishing, fly fishing, whale watching, bird watching, hill climbing, as well as local theatres, mobile cinema, a distillery, castles, gardens, galleries and craft shops and much more. We have outlined a few of the attractions on this page.

Duart Castle is a few minutes by car from our guest house and is the ancestral home of the Clan MacLean. The castle has been here for more than 400 years and provides a very interesting few hours for any visitor whether they are a MacLean or not. The castle is open for visitors from April until October.

Torosay Castle and Gardens is a baronial style castle about 150 years old and is very close to our bed and breakfast establishment. This venue provides pleasant surroundings and attractions as well as walks in the beautiful gardens.
